Is God A Complete Lie? # 10001

What most people don't realize...is that God could be a complete lie. People are willing to be mindless sheep heading to the slaughter house for a philosophy that is force fed to them on a daily basis, without question. Why would you follow a religion that doesn't completely encompass your whole of beliefs. If you're able to pick and choose what you believe from the bible because you don't believe in a few things, how can everything else you decide to accept be true. This is a subject I will explore in future posts.

God is not a lie. The admission of this is by faith best tested in the face of strong evidence to the contrary. It is not possible to prove or disprove the existence of God because He is an entity (again admission by faith) that transcends human intelligence. The cosmological constant and also the greatest problem in physics presents a very strong case for this.

However there is a Zeitgeist that is most definitely a lie. Brainwashing, crafty manipulation, obliged devotion, and political interest are some of the hallmarks of such. It is important to separate this from God as He is, and I would get strong flak from a lot of fundamental Christians for saying that. This shouldn't be surprising if you are familiar with Christianity. The Holy Spirit is seldom in the church these days.

Use Galatians 5 as a litmus test for how healthy his/her relationship with Christ is. Don't be surprised if you can't find any, the Zeitgeist has made this spirit almost completely invisible these days, and to a huge extent its the religious who are at fault.
